Position SummaryThis position is for a full-time Systems Architect. In this exciting role, you will advise on the design and development of Cloud strategies across AWS, Azure and GCP vendors.Your expertise will help us leverage the latest technologies and practices to drive innovation, improve patient outcomes, and you will play a key role in advancing our systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cloud technologies, willing to work in a fast-paced / dynamic environment and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. The Systems Architect exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Position HighlightsAs a Cloud focused architect, you will build the Cloud infrastructure from the ground up. Responsibilities:Leading teams of technical and business professionals through architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective and sustainable Cloud infrastructure and application solutions to meet unique client business requirements.Develop and implement solid, scalable, and flexible solutions to support Rush migrating and transforming from on premise to cloud solutions. Partner with vendors to help draft proposals, providing effort estimations, and participating in client presentations. Provide high-impact content to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs related to Cloud Services and Cloud Strategy. Understand and champion cloud lifecycle management, help evolve the business to expand this footprint. Lead cultural change for cloud adoption. Developing and coordinating cloud architecture for Rush & ventures.Developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation process. Establish best practices for cloud across the company. Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and firewallsKnowledge of Virtual Machines and Container concepts. Knowledge of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security ModelKnowledge of automation tools. Understanding of HA architecture (clustering, RAC, ADG, fail over etc.), multiple DC architecture, multi-cloud integration. Selecting cloud providers and vetting third-party services.Qualifications:5+ years of experience across the entire enterprise application layer architecting solutions. 3+ years of experience conceptualizing and architecting cloud solutions and migrating on-premise based environments to cloud. Experience supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and expansion initiatives. 3+ years of experience in one or more prominent cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google). Experience with Agile methodology.
