Lockheed Martins Rotary and Mission Systems C4ISR team is looking for a proven and experienced Systems Engineer to support a oneofakind Cross Business Area campaign that exemplifies our commitment to our OneLM Strategy.The WorkThe Innovations Team is the "ideas engine that discovers, evaluates, and injects breakthrough technologies into the Lead Systems Integrator (LSI) stack. The Systems Engineer will be the technical driver for technology tradestudies, rapidprototype explorations, and alternativesolution assessments that enable the DetectionPredictionResponseRecovery workflow. This role works sidebyside with the Innovations Lead, Lead Systems AWS Infrastructure Architect, AI/ML engineers, the Advisory Board, and external research partners.Who We AreThe PlatformasaService (PaaS) and Integration team within our Digital Production Environment is building and delivering a cloud Lake, Digital Framework, and seamless integration of LockheedMartin and 3rdparty applications. Become part of a missiondriven organization where innovation, excellence, and balance go handinhand- 4+ years of systemsengineering experience in aerospace/defense or hightech environments; 2years leading technical trade studies or technologyinsertion activities- B.S.in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (M.S.preferred) or equivalent experienceProven ability to influence crossfunctional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive consensus on technology selections.Excellent written and verbal skills; able to translate complex technical analyses into concise executive briefs and clear engineering documentation.Direct experience with continuousinnovation programs (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, SkunkWorksstyle technology insertion). Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines (SageMaker Feature Store, modelserving) into systemlevel architectures and evaluating their impact on latency, power, and safety. Familiarity with AWS WellArchitected Framework and ability to incorporate costmodeling into tradestudy scoring.Background working with nonDoD commercial customers that have highsecurity requirements.
