Role Overview This contract role involves delivering professional nursing services on a 45-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit. The position requires a minimum of 36 guaranteed weekly hours, including every other weekend coverage, with one call shift in an eight-week block. The patient-to-nurse ratio ranges from 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night, ensuring manageable caseloads for quality patient care. Key Responsibilities • Monitoring and managing telemetry and cardiac patients in an acute inpatient setting • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care • Utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation • Responding appropriately to patient needs, including critical situations Qualifications and Experience • Current RN licensure with a minimum of one year clinical experience • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred, Telemetry certification mandatory • Demonstrated experience in cardiac nursing, telemetry monitoring, and medical-surgical care • Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment Work Environment and Attire • The unit supports a professional, patient-focused atmosphere • Dress code allows any scrub color; hoodies and earbuds are not permitted This role is ideal for nurses with telemetry experience seeking a contract position within a supportive setting.
