We're looking for an HR Leader who is a builder, problem solver, and scaler. This is a truly unique opportunity to create, from the ground up, a world class and global HR/PeopleOps organization and culture that empowers Upbounders across the globe to feel and operate like owners. You will build and execute a global HR strategy to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency throughout the entire employee lifecycle.You'll own all aspects from onboarding, culture, benefits, performance management and all the way through to off-boarding and every thing in between. You'll partner with stakeholders at all levels to execute your strategy and establish Upbound as a premier employer across the globe. This person will report directly to the CEO. In this role you will... • Be a culture builder and champion, ensuring programs and practices reflect Upbound's core values. • Build and continuously improve a thoughtful and engaging employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.• Create HR and people processes to ensure compliance internally and externally. • Develop Upbound's remote workforce strategies to drive employee engagement, effectiveness, and happiness. • Lead diversity and inclusion programs and practices across the company. • Build and execute a clear and effective global expansion strategy. • Establish promotion and performance management processes that are designed to ensure employees thrive. • Research, select, and deploy tools to drive scale. You are a good fit if you have...• Built and scaled a global HR or PeopleOps function at a series B/C remote startup. • Successfully designed and rolled out promotion and performance management processes for a global workforce. • A high degree of comfort navigating and solving operational friction and ambiguity with scale in mind. • Created new HR and PeopleOps programs, policies, and processes that solve meaningful business problems at scale. • An owners mindset who is comfortable operating and executing both in and outside of your primary job responsibilities.• A predisposition to lead by influence and get stuff done. • A thoughtful, empathetic, and engaging leadership style with a low ego.
