Responsibilities :• Responsible for using language in harmony with interaction and visual design to make complex HR, payroll and benefits information accessible to general users.• Work productively with motivated product managers, developers and designers at each stage of the development process, from initial sketches to final implementation. • Provide and receive insight and feedback on content and design, constantly iterating to achieve focus and refinement in all parts of the user experience. • Inject friendliness and personality into a traditionally serious industry. • Work with our user experience team to create compelling, meaningful experiences that enable our users to achieve their goals.• Writing samples are a must to be considered for this opportunity. Your portfolio/samples should demonstrate problem solving solutions for complex enterprise-class software (not just content websites) and display an ability to deliver simple and engaging communication. • Work with product managers and designers to understand product requirements. • Work closely with the development teams to deliver on a variety of projects. • Plan and write content for web and mobile, including UI content, emails, notifications and product tours.• Turn product requirements into a clear and engaging story for our users. • Advocate for the end user experience at all points of interaction. • Work with other teams to develop and maintain a consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints. • Use data, research and user feedback to evaluate the impact of content on the overall user experience. • Work closely with UX researchers to understand the usability of the overall product and to validate proposed language usage. • Document UX language conventions and patterns.• Regularly consult with UX designers and researchers on consistency and conventions. • Collaborate with designers, user researchers, product managers and software engineers to enable the content design process, encouraging productive dialog and helping the design team to solve content design problems as they arise. • Document the results of design-related meetings and document design deliverables. Required Skills:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Writing, Technical Communication or Psychology, or equivalent combination of education and experience• 3+ years of experience writing web content• A portfolio of relevant writing work• Ability to effectively present concepts to stakeholders and team members• Highly self-motivated, and able to self-direct and discover requirements• Proven ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines• Previous experience with agile teams and methodologies• Demonstrated ability to learn and write for complex business tasks and supporting technologies• Must possess good writing, presentation, and time management skills• Must be a solid, professional, team player• Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize UX issues and review the results of user research• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines• High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance• Able to be diplomatic when working with internal stakeholders, team members and customers• Capable of skillfully giving and receiving feedback• Capable of producing clear and precise documentation• Able to formulate clear and understandable reports and present/communicate findings to internal management/leadership teams• Candidates should demonstrate an ability to quickly get up to speed on our core business and other areas of our business as we grow rapidly in existing and new markets• Demonstrates a solid understanding of the roles in the software engineering process and has experience working directly with these various roles• Can demonstrate an understanding of the products they have supported, the personas, each persona's general goals, as well as describe the market value proposition of the products• Can describe the competitors of the products they have supported and their particular advantages and disadvantagesPreferred Skills:• User Experience, UX Writing, or Technical Communication certification is a plus• Experience with Jira and Contentstack or a similar CMS is preferred• Prior experience or background in the HR outsourcing or PEO space is a plus!SGA is a Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base for both permanent placement and consulting opportunities.
