SUPPORTING GROWING BUSINESSES The world of online communication, advertising, and selling is in turmoil. Large businesses make massive investments including using AI, while smaller and growing businesses, our middle class, need help to deliver true, impactful information to their customers in an online landscape that changes faster than any human team can track. To solve this problem, we have created high-speed learning AI technology that instantly learns from handfuls of data points (shopper interactions) instead of large-scale batches of data and GPUs. This enables the AI to optimise for rapidly changing interests, audiences, and market dynamics. With Google, at the National Retail Federation 2026, Product Genius recently provided results from controlled A/B tests demonstrating a 36% average revenue lift when compared to the brands’ existing websites. The test involved millions of US online shoppers including major brands and many small ones. YOUR ROLE We are seeking an Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to collaborate closely with our full-stack and AI team to help scale and improve our architecture for performance, stability, cost efficiency, and reliability as our customer base grows. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will own the underlying compute/network/storage layer to keep our system up, secure, and efficient. e.g., Kubernetes clusters, observability stack, cost optimization, security hardening. As a Platform Engineer you will build internal tooling and abstractions on top of infrastructure to help our product/AI teams ship features fast. e.g., CI/CD, deployment systems, internal developer portals, self-service environments. • Own the health of production including performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. When something degrades or breaks, dig into logs, traces, metrics to find root causes and help us make our systems more robust for the future. • Make scaling feel effortless. As our infrastructure and customer base grows, you’ll ensure that our GCP Kubernetes infrastructure and auto scaling and resource allocation keep pace, helping us to handle peak usage without firefighting. • Elevate observability. Refine and share dashboards, alerts, and instrumentation so the team has access to meaningful information. • Communicate and explain technical concepts, decisions, and trade-offs to others, including non-engineers. • Have autonomy. At Product Genius, we don’t hand down tasks - we share context. Engineers are trusted with strategic information and the freedom to make decisions that shape the product and platform. OUR COMPUTE ENVIRONMENT • Cloud: Google Cloud Infra (primary), with a parallel deployment in AWS for flexibility • Kubernetes: GKE with multiple node pools, including pools for large, memory-intensive, and long-running asynchronous jobs • CI/CD: GitHub Workflows + ArgoCD • Data: Cloud SQL via cloud-sql-proxy, ClickHouse on Google Compute Engine, data imported from Google Cloud Storage • Networking & Runtime: Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects, WebSocket-based real-time communication for customers • Monitoring: Datadog for metrics, performance monitoring, dashboards, and alerting • Environments: Production, Staging, Integration, and Development REQUIRED • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production applications in a cloud environment that has grown in scale. (Leveling will be done as part of the interview process.) • Solid understanding and experience with GCP especially Kubernetes and the services mentioned in “our environment” above. Some AWS exposure is helpful too. • Constantly seek to understand how systems behave in the real world, and love to make them run better. • Clear communication and a collaborative approach; someone who lifts teams up by making complex systems easier to work with. • Curiosity, ownership, and the desire to have a visible, meaningful impact. • Strong math and analytical background.
