About the RoleSellers Dorsey is seeking a Part-Time Associate Director with subject matter expertise in early childhood services, maternal and child health, child care, child welfare, and prevention-based strategies. This role will support clients and initiatives that address non-medical drivers of health, integrate Medicaid with child welfare and early childhood systems, and align resources to promote family stability, healthy child development, and equitable outcomes. As the Associate Director, you will contribute to strategy and business development, client servicing, project delivery, and thought leadership, with a focus on improving outcomes for children ages 0–18+, including those involved with or at risk of entering the child welfare system.Key Responsibilities• Divisional Growth and Success: Support leadership in carrying out the overall functions of the Child and Family Wellbeing division within NCP including but not limited to supporting proposal and business development; internal and external coordination, meeting facilitation and execution of client plans, supporting client engagements and deliverables and general support of any activities that are key to the growth and success of the division. • Client and Project Delivery: serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on the intersection of early childhood, child welfare, child care, two gen solutions related to Medicaid, and non-medical drivers of health.You will guide the development of innovative programs and funding strategies aimed at preventing child maltreatment, reducing family system involvement, and expanding access to services through Medicaid and other federal funding streams. You will also help clients align systems—such as home visiting, family resource centers, maternal and child health, mental health, and child welfare—to more holistically support families. Responsibilities include developing high-quality client deliverables, such as policy briefs, roadmaps, implementation tools, and presentations.• Policy and Program Expertise: Monitor and synthesize federal and state policies relevant to Medicaid (including EPSDT, waivers, and managed care), Title V, MIECHV, SSBG, CAPTA, IDEA Part C, and TANF. You will translate these policies into actionable strategies and operational guidance for clients, including public agencies, managed care organizations, and providers. The role includes advising on blended and braided funding models to support prevention and early intervention, elevating trauma-informed, community-based approaches, and helping clients navigate evolving policy environments.You will also contribute to national thought leadership through webinars, blog posts, panels, and convenings. • Content Development and Deployment: Working closely with CFW team, you will help produce a wide range of content that showcases the division’s expertise. This includes contributions to internal newsletters, external presentations, social media, blogs, and other marketing and communications platforms. You will also identify opportunities to amplify the firm’s capabilities in child and family wellbeing, build relationships with partners, and promote thought leadership on local and national stages.• Project Management, Execution and Evaluation: Lead and manage consulting projects across Medicaid, child welfare, early childhood, and prevention and family support areas of focus. This includes creating work plans, overseeing timelines, and managing deliverables to ensure high-quality, on-time execution. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and conduct policy research, analysis, and best-practice reviews to inform strategy and client recommendations. Evaluating project impact and supporting continuous improvement will also be key components of this work.• Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Serving as a primary contact for clients, you will manage relationships with state and local public agencies, MCOs, school systems, and community-based organizations. You will facilitate meetings and strategic planning sessions, support stakeholder engagement, and provide guidance on evolving trends in child and family wellbeing. The role involves identifying client needs, co-developing innovative solutions, and delivering expert consultation to support policy and system transformation.• Strategic Growth and Business Development: Contribute to the firm’s growth through proposal writing, scoping new engagements, and supporting client strategy development. You will help expand Sellers Dorsey’s partnerships across government agencies, MCOs, and nonprofits by participating in meetings, conferences, and sector convenings. In addition, you will help align internal teams and resources to support business development, client delivery, and long-term strategic positioning. • Project support: Provide general support and help in various ways to support the team, an engagement and/or progress client sales and services.Support overall internal collaboration and leadership. Work closely with internal teams across Sellers Dorsey to ensure knowledge-sharing and coordinated support for clients. Contribute to thought leadership efforts by developing insights on emerging trends in child and family wellbeing. • Other duties as assigned per the Managing Director. Key Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services or other related fields required. • 10+ years of experience within the health and human services, or related, system.• Demonstrated experience working as part of a team handling complex and multi-faceted projects is required. • Strong knowledge of the multiple facets of child and family wellbeing, particularly in the prevention, child care, early childhood and child welfare space. • Proficiency in bolthires Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. • Strong facilitation skills, comfort with public speaking and networking• Project management and organizational skills and proficiency in learning project management software.Additional Qualifications• Professional experience with working on complex initiatives that entail coordination, facilitation and synthesizing information. • Experience with project management and coordinating complex projects. • Experience providing consultation, training and/or technical assistance. • Strong network within the industry. Compensation & BenefitsThe salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location.Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s TotalCompensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
