Auto Telephone Claims Representative I, II or Sr
About the position The Auto Telephone Claims Representative I, II or Sr is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced automobile accidents. This role determines coverage, liability, damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. This is a remote opportunity for experienced auto claims adjusters, and being bilingual is desired but not required. Responsibilities • Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department. • Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability, and damages) with the exercise of discretion and independence within an increased level of authority. • For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic to moderate injury claims. • Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understands other potential property damage. • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills. • Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle. • Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, etc.) Requirements • 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred) • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Nice-to-haves • Bilingual skills are desired but not required.
