Behavioral Health Outreach Specialist
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Behavioral Health Outreach Specialist to join our team. This role involves engaging with community members to promote mental health awareness, connect individuals with resources, and support behavioral health initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in program development, and a passion for public health advocacy. The primary job is to generate referrals for the organizations to provide mental health therapy and psychological evaluations Duties • Develop and implement outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of behavioral health issues within diverse communities. • Conduct public speaking engagements to educate audiences about mental health and addiction counseling services. • Coordinate and facilitate community events, workshops, and seminars to promote behavioral health resources. • Manage social media platforms and marketing efforts to raise awareness and engage target populations. • Collect and analyze data related to outreach activities to measure effectiveness and inform future strategies. • Collaborate with local organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact. • Assist in fundraising efforts by developing proposals, engaging donors, and managing grant applications. • Oversee administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining accurate records of outreach activities. • Recruit new volunteers and team members to support ongoing initiatives. Skills • Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams. • Strong public speaking abilities with experience in community engagement. • Expertise in program development, project management, and social media management. • Knowledge of addiction counseling, public health principles, social work practices, and administrative procedures. • Ability to collect data effectively and utilize it for program improvement. • Excellent leadership skills with the capacity to motivate teams and foster collaboration. • Experience in marketing, fundraising, recruiting, teaching, or related fields is highly desirable. • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
