Bilingual NLP Engineer (Japanese)- Remote

Role OverviewAs an NLP Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development andenhancement of NLP components integral to our products. We are seeking native speakersproficient in Japanese as part of our Voice team to work on state-of-the-art voice modellingand machine learning projects. Key ResponsibilitiesMust-Haves• Native or Near-Native Japanese required• Willingness to engage in hands-on data work, including annotation and transcriptiontasks• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of linguistics, including morphology, syntax, andphonetics & phonology• Possess a deep understanding of phonetic alphabets and fundamental concepts innatural language processing (NLP) with a focus on its application in text-to-speech(TTS) technologies• Proficient in text manipulation, lexical analysis, and data processing, with basicscripting skills, preferably in Python.• Ability to conduct evaluations of various models and data sets, measureimprovements, and document findings effectively• Capable of writing specifications for task automation and tool development,contributing to process efficiencyGood-to-Haves• Prior experience in a software development environment, collaborating closely withengineering teams• Familiarity with researching resources such as data repositories and code libraries tosupport project requirements• Familiarity in software issue analysis and troubleshooting quality issues inspeech-related applications• Interest in Audio (We are an AI Voice & Audio Automation Company)• Fluency in multiple languages.• MSc/Ph.D. in a relevant field.
