About the OrganizationThe Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists (SFNA) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering ICU nurses and aspiring nurse anesthetists through mentorship, education, and professional development. SFNA connects thousands of future Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) with the tools, community, and resources they need to succeed — from mock interviews and workshops to scholarships and support circles. About the RoleThe Board Secretary plays an essential role in ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and strong governance within SFNA’s leadership team.This volunteer role is ideal for someone who values organization, collaboration, and supporting a mission that’s transforming the nurse anesthesia community. Key Responsibilities• Record and distribute accurate minutes for all quarterly board meetings. • Collaborate with the Board President to prepare agendas and share meeting materials. • Maintain official records, including bylaws, policies, and board rosters. • Support communication and follow-up between board members and committees. • Assist with onboarding new board members and maintaining document archives.Qualifications• Strong organizational and written communication skills. • Experience in administration, governance, or nonprofit operations preferred. • Familiarity with bolthires Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets) or similar platforms. • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information. • Passion for advancing education, mentorship, and opportunity within healthcare.
