Types of Roles: Video Engineering & Distribution Internships Location: Hauppauge, NY The Media Engineering & Distribution department is responsible for all Paramount Global broadcast platforms including audio, video, control systems and IP infrastructure as it relates to broadcast and distribution services. The team design, procure, build, and manage both software and hardware-based solutions, built upon both on-prem virtualized and public cloud infrastructure. Qualifications: • Video, Media or Electrical Engineering as a preferred field of study • Knowledge of Excel, Word • Experience in Data Analysis • Interest in Media and Video processing Broadcast Engineering This department is responsible for the production and editing of shows recorded at the CBS Broadcast Center in NYC. We support all broadcast systems including audio, video, control systems and IP infrastructure as it relates to broadcast specific equipment. We interact with vendors for both support and procurement. This department is presently engaged in constructing some new audio rooms and post production editing suites for a resident client. Qualifications: • Electrical Engineering as a preferred field of study • Knowledge of AutoCAD. • Knowledge of Excel, Word. • Experience with Audio or Video Broadcast Distribution Broadcast Distribution is responsible for the transmission of the CBS Network to 240 affiliates. Our department also provides all inbound contribution transmissions for Sports, News and Entertainment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary Range: $20 - $22. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
