Chief Learning Officer, Campaign for Grade-Level Reading

Remote Full-time
Chief Learning Officer Campaign for Grade-Level Reading An opportunity to lead a national learning and engagement agenda that inspires collaboration and advances early school success for children across the country. The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (CGLR) is a nationwide movement dedicated to ensuring that children everywhere have the opportunity to thrive in school and in life. Through powerful partnerships, storytelling, and shared learning, CGLR helps communities turn ideas into action. The Chief Learning Officer will play a vital role in shaping how those stories and strategies are shared with the nation, helping to spark new collaborations, elevate local voices, and advance equitable learning opportunities for children and families. About the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (CGLR) brings together and supports a nationwide network of local coalitions, community organizations, and state partners committed to assuring more hopeful futures for children growing up in families facing economic and social challenges. Founded in 2010, CGLR focuses on two key goals: helping children stay on track in their learning and development by the end of kindergarten and ensuring they read at grade level by the end of third grade. Both are powerful predictors of future school success and long-term opportunity. CGLR advances this work through its long-standing focus on school readiness, attendance, and summer learning, along with new priorities emerging from the pandemic. Current efforts emphasize accelerating learning recovery, expanding digital connectivity, strengthening family engagement, and embracing the belief that learning happens everywhere: in classrooms, homes, and communities. It also leads the Learning and Engagement Opportunities (LEO) framework, which connects leaders, funders, educators, and partners nationwide through webinars, online peer exchanges, and resources that share strategies to improve learning and development for children and families. Position Summary The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) leads CGLR's learning and engagement agenda, guiding the strategy and operations of the Learning and Engagement Opportunities (LEO) framework. This includes GLR Learning Tuesdays, monthly constituency-focused series, and the annual GLR Week online convening.
