Commercial Real Estate Appraiser Assistant / Inspection Coordinator
Job Summary We are seeking an organized, articulate and detail-oriented person to join our Commercial Real Estate Appraisal team. This is a remote position, though best if you are on Eastern Time zone in the US. You should be able to work from home productively with high internet access and on a PC computer. This position is a position that can lead to becoming a licensed commercial real estate appraiser. Though, you can just have experience in the real estate industry if you don't want to pursue getting licensed. You should already have proven yourself as capable of managing priorities and juggling multiple work orders. Your skills in professional business communications, data management, and meeting deadlines should be at a high level with proven work experience that illustrates it. This can be a great opportunity for someone that can work in a fast-paced work environment and do so remotely from your own residence. Residential real estate appraisers or agents may find this as a great opportunity to break into commercial real estate appraising. We prefer a candidate who wants to be on the path to earning a commercial appraisal license, but we will also consider someone with good administration experience that is willing to learn commercial real estate. Duties • Coordinate property inspections to meet the requirements of the appraisal assignment • Work with the Head of Inspections to manage and build our inspector list • Develop the instructions and property overview needed to guide the inspector to meet the needs of the assignment • Support the data gathering and research needed to support real estate valuations • Complete the administration tasks required to track across multiple assignments at any one time, to initiate new inspections and to close-out on completed ones Requirements • Existing knowledge or ability to quickly learn about appraisal requirements and property information to excel in the role • Existing computer skills, remote work ethic, and familiarity with Word and Excel • Relevant experience in process-oriented responsibilities • Effective communication skills for coordinating inspections and working with the valuation team • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
