This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with strong communication skills who enjoy client-facing work and want flexibility in their schedules. Position OverviewAs a Consultation Attorney, you will conduct initial client consultations, helping individuals and families understand their immigration options and the services our firm provides.Consultations are conducted virtually, and you will be responsible for guiding prospective clients through their concerns with professionalism, clarity, and empathy. This position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 10+ hours per week, with additional opportunities for extra consultations as needed. Areas of FocusApplicants must be well-versed and prepared to handle consultations with potential clients in the following areas and more:- Family-Based Immigration- Victim-Based Processes (e.g., U Visas, VAWA)- Removal DefenseScheduling ModelsWe offer two consultation scheduling models and optional add-ons to ensure a mutually beneficial arrangement:Model 1- Choose three weekdays (e.g., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).- Conduct 5 consultations on 2 of those days, scheduled from 10:00 AM – 1:45 PM EST. - Conduct 4 consultations on the remaining day, scheduled from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST. Model 2- Choose two weekdays (e.g., Tuesday and Thursday). - Conduct 7 consultations per day, scheduled from 10:00 AM – 3:15 PM EST. Optional Add-On- Attorneys may also choose to conduct 2 consultations on 2 Saturdays per month between 11:00 AM –12:35 PM EST. Flexibility- We can rework these two models to fit what works best for you, while ensuring alignment with our established daily consultation time slots.- Once a model is selected or created, it must remain fixed for a minimum of 30 days at a time to avoid cancellations and disruption in our consultation workflow. Each consultation lasts 30 minutes, with a 15-minute buffer to allow time for notes and transition. Compensation- $50 per hour (weekday consultations). - $60 per hour (Saturday consultations). Qualifications- Licensed attorney in good standing with any U.S. jurisdiction. - Experience in immigration law, especially in family-based petitions, victim-based relief, and removal defense.- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. - Comfortable working independently in a remote, virtual environment.- Detail-oriented, punctual, and committed to providing excellent client service.
