Environmental Engineer (US Based)
Environmental Engineer / Environmental Permitting Specialist (Geo-Web Expertise Required) We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer or Environmental Permitting Specialist to support our pre-application permitting checklist for three commercial properties in New Jersey. This role requires hands-on expertise using NJDEP’s NJ Geo-Web and related environmental databases to assess potential impacts on: - Wildlife and protected habitats - Watersheds and surface water classifications - Water resource and land management - You will be responsible for reviewing mapped environmental layers and preparing clear, defensible input for our pre-application checklist and regulatory submissions. Scope of Work The selected consultant will: 1) Work with our team to review NJ Geo-Web Landscape Project Mapping and related GIS layers 2) Evaluate presence of protected species, habitats, and ecological constraints 3) Assess watershed and surface water classifications 4) Identify potential permitting risks or compliance requirements 5) Provide written feedback in the pre-application checklist for three (3) target properties To apply, please include details on the following: 1) Your Environmental Engineering Background - permitting, compliance, or site development 2) Education, certifications, and years of experience 3) Experience with GIS / NJ Geo-Web Experience 4) Direct experience using NJDEP NJ Geo-Web or comparable state/federal GIS systems Apply tot his job
