Seedstars International Ventures is an early-stage venture capital fund. Since 2012, we have been investing in bold entrepreneurs who are building transformative companies at the pre-seed and seed stages in high-growth economies. Our investment portfolio spans over 100 companies across 40 countries. We are supporting a high-growth, VC-backed insurtech platform as it prepares to scale in the US. We're looking for an Executive Advisor to support its US go-to-market and distribution strategy, with a particular focus on digital-native distribution platforms. This is a high-impact, low-time-commitment advisory role for a senior operator with deep experience in the US market, particularly with large platform-based businesses headquartered on the West Coast. Engagement: Executive Advisor (part-time) Time commitment: ~1–2 hours per month Compensation: Equity-based Location focus: US (West Coast strongly preferred) This is a purely equity-compensated engagement, with no cash salary or retainer. What you’ll do • Act as a strategic sparring partner to the founders on US positioning and go-to-market, bringing an operator’s perspective on platform-led growth • Help sharpen the company’s value proposition and messaging for large US-based digital platforms, emphasizing proven success with platform partners • Advice on enterprise buying dynamics, including how US platforms evaluate, procure, and scale embedded insurance partnerships Who We’re Looking For • The Senior Operator: 15+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or commercial leadership, with recent, hands-on experience in the US market. • Deep expertise in US-based distribution, specifically within digital-native marketplaces or large-scale tech platforms. • A sophisticated understanding of embedded insurance and platform partnerships, preferably from the distributor or "platform-side" perspective. • Direct, pragmatic, and comfortable challenging founders when needed Why this role exists From an investor perspective, we believe the right advisor at the right moment can materially change outcomes.
