As a Crisis Specialist, you'll provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals who are experiencing emotional distress. You'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988, and provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments. This is a remote position, and you'll work a 3rd shift schedule, Friday through Sunday, 6pm-2:30am CST. **Responsibilities** As a Crisis Specialist, you'll be responsible for: * Providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments * Answering crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs * Conducting follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meeting the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participating in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assisting in administrative tasks as needed **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field * Six months to one year of related crisis experience * Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Knowledge of suicide assessments * Skill in providing crisis intervention **Preferred Qualifications** * Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Experience working with diverse populations, including those affected by trauma * Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices * Experience with crisis intervention and suicide prevention **Work Environment** As a remote Crisis Specialist, you'll work from the comfort of your own home, with minimal supervision.
