Job Overview We are currently seeking experienced Customer Account Support Specialists to join our remote collections team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in servicing our large and growing portfolio of customers. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be expected to be available for shift requirements between 8:00am – 7:00pm CST, Monday – Friday, and 8:00am – 12:00pm CST on Saturday. Key Responsibilities As a Customer Account Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include: Contacting customers to determine the reason for payment delinquency and negotiating payments. Handling accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism and adhering to established policies and procedures. Confirming and/or negotiating payment arrangements, researching any discrepancies, and resolving customer complaints. Completing phone calls to meet required performance standards and metrics, ensuring that all interactions are handled with integrity and a customer-centric approach. Maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses, staying informed of changes in policies and procedures, and continuously improving your skills and knowledge. Utilizing computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting, ensuring that all customer interactions are accurately documented and recorded. Responding to customer inquiries with accurate information, professionalism, and integrity, providing exceptional service and support to our customers. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work. Professional phone etiquette, with a strong emphasis on customer service and support. Good follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Persuasive negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve customer complaints in a fair and professional manner. Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience, with basic typing and data entry skills. Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field, which may be used in lieu of experience. Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry, with a strong understanding of collections and customer service principles. Education and Experience The minimum educational requirement for this role is a High School diploma or equivalent. However, an Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field may be used in lieu of experience. Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry is preferred, but not essential.
