Experienced Customer Service Representative for After-Hours Support – Remote Opportunity with Flexible Hours

Job Overview This full-remote position offers a 3-day working week with 4-hour shifts per day, and a Saturday and Sunday shift of 12 hours per day. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and nurses during after-hours, providing timely and effective support to resolve queries and concerns. Key Responsibilities Answer all incoming calls and respond to client and nurse queries in a professional and courteous manner Resolve client and nurse queries that are within the scope of after-hours, escalating complex issues to relevant teams as necessary Provide timely responses to queries that come in through our texting platform, ensuring that all messages are addressed promptly and efficiently Notify clients and replace caregiver callouts as necessary, ensuring that all scheduling changes are communicated effectively Confirm caregivers 1-2 hours before shift start, ensuring that all caregivers are aware of their schedules and any changes Perform initial intake for callers potentially interested in services, providing information and support to help them make informed decisions Document all scenarios on our platform, as well as update caregiver schedules as needed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Complete non-urgent admin projects if time allows, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and confident, with a strong ability to empathize with clients and nurses Responsible and reliable, with a proven track record of working independently and managing multiple tasks and priorities 10+ years of work experience in customer service and office duties, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices Adaptable and flexible regarding work hours, with a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends Impeccable phone and computer skills, with experience using a range of software applications and technology platforms Staffing and/or healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its unique challenges and opportunities Experience working remotely and independently, with a self-motivated and disciplined approach to work A quiet and professional work-from-home environment, with a reliable internet connection and backup power supply in case of load shedding Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders Knowledge of customer service software and technology platforms, with experience using a range of tools and systems to manage customer interactions and resolve issues Certification or training in customer service, healthcare, or a related field, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to listen, empathize, and respond to client and nurse queries Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a ability to resolve complex issues and escalate problems as necessary Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a strong sense of discipline and self-motivation Strong technical skills, with experience using a range of software applications and technology platforms Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for training, mentorship, and career advancement.
