Why You Will Love This Job This exciting role is part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your expertise will help us deliver outstanding service to our members, ensuring their financial needs are met with precision and care. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing Work on member cases and tasks assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and secure payment processing Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining accurate records and reports Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing excellent customer service and support Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, members, and vendors Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer/member service experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of payment processing, item processing, and fund transfers Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Skilled in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, members, and vendors Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
