Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls, interacting with customers in a professional and empathetic manner, and providing information and assistance in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will also be required to use multiple computer systems to access data and document information, as well as place outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers. Key Responsibilities: Answering inbound calls and interacting with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner Providing information and assistance in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws Assisting customers with program enrollment and routing them to the appropriate contacts via three-way calls Assisting customers with their communication needs, such as relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments and translation services for callers who don't speak English Placing outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers Using multiple computer systems to access data and document information About You To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of customer service experience, with knowledge of public benefit programs and prior experience in a health or human services setting being highly desirable. You should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, great active listening skills, and strong attention to detail. Additionally, you should be proficient in using computers and have the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
