**Experienced Full Stack Data Scientist – Web & Cloud Application Development**

Data Ventures, a nimble startup incubated within arenaflex, is building a best-in-class suite of data products to provide actionable, customer-centric insights and help traders and suppliers make better business decisions on omni-channel 360 performance. **Job Responsibilities** As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading data science initiatives, mentoring junior colleagues, and implementing best practices across the team. Your primary focus will be on Customer Data Science initiatives, which may be short-term or long-term based on business needs. Your key responsibilities will include: * **Data Source Identification**: Identify the most suitable data sources for required information, considering external assets as needed. Perform preliminary data quality tests on extracted data and review deliverables of junior colleagues. * **Problem Formulation**: Analyze business problems within your area of expertise, challenge assumptions to help the business understand the root cause, and identify and recommend solutions. Set data analytics, big data analytics, and automation goals and deliverables based on setup achievement standards and outline key metrics to measure progress and effectiveness. * **Analytical Modeling**: Select suitable modeling strategies for complex problems with large-scale, multiple established and unstructured data sets. Develop variables and features iteratively based on model responses in collaboration with the business. Conduct exploratory data analysis activities, such as basic statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical inferences, on to-be-had data. Identify dimensions and designs of experiments and create test and research frameworks. Interpret data to identify trends to move across future data sets. * **Model Deployment & Scaling**: Ability to work with MLOps to push ML models to production. Continuously log and track model behavior once deployed against described metrics. Identify model parameters that may need adjustments based on scale of deployment. * **Code Development & Testing**: Write code to develop the specified solution and application capabilities by identifying the right programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. Create test cases to study and validate the proposed solution design. Create proofs of concept. Test the code using the right testing method. Contribute code documentation, maintain playbooks, and provide timely development updates. * **Applied Business Acumen**: Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives. Influence business stakeholder decision-making. Translate business requirements into strategies, projects, and initiatives and align them to business method and goals and drive the execution of deliverables. Build and articulate the business case and go back on investment and grants work that has demonstrable value. Challenge business assumptions on subjects related to your area of expertise. Develop new organization-wide approaches and methods to working. Teach and mentor others on best practices.
