Our mission is to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that patients and caregivers have access to the resources and support they require to navigate the complexities of Medicaid programs. **Job Summary** As a Part-Time Remote Call Center Representative/Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for patients and caregivers, providing compassionate and professional support to address their questions, concerns, and needs. You will work from the comfort of your own home, setting your own schedule within the client's hours of operation, and enjoy the flexibility to choose when you work and when you don't. **Key Responsibilities** * Answer incoming calls from patients and caregivers with empathy and professionalism, responding to their questions and providing important information * Assist with enrollment, program applications, and setup in applicable systems * Retrieve information to assist caregivers with payroll-related inquiries * Utilize de-escalation techniques to support upset or frustrated callers * Offer guidance and directions to both caregivers and patients to effectively resolve any issues they're facing * Document information and outcomes as necessary **About You** To succeed in this role, you should have at least one year of customer service experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to offer troubleshooting advice when necessary. You will also need: * The ability to offer empathy, patience, and a friendly demeanor at all times * The ability to handle calls of a sensitive nature and de-escalate emotionally charged patients and caregivers * Great active listening skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail * The ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment * A quality-focused mindset and a desire to achieve first call resolution whenever possible * The ability to accurately and confidently work with numbers and discuss money **Home Office Environment** To be a successful Customer Service Representative, you will need: * A computer meeting these criteria: + Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time) + Memory: 8GB of RAM + CPUs (Speed * Processors): 6 + Hard Drive: At least 500MB of free space + Sound: sound card (standard on most computers) + Up-to-date antivirus software + Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please) + Dual monitors + A USB noise-cancelling headset + A webcam for your certification experience **Flexible Hours of Operation** As a Customer Service Representative, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don't, within the client's hours of operation. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM ET. Please note that this third-party client requires that contractors service at least 20 hours per week. Also, due to Mondays and Fridays being particularly busy, the client is seeking contractors who can service some hours on those days. **Pay and Perks** This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. Prior to supporting this client, you will need to successfully complete a Certification class. While you will not be able to invoice for the $13 per hour during Certification, you will have the ability to earn certification incentives as described below. **Certification Class and Incentives** * Option 1: December 16th - December 20th. For this group, the first week of certification from 12/16 - 12/20 will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST each day. A follow-up two-day certification class will be held at a later date, likely the week of 12/30. You will receive $250 after you successfully complete the first week of certification and begin servicing. You will receive an additional $100 after you successfully complete a follow-up 2-day certification class scheduled at a later date, likely the week of December 30th. * Option 2: December 30th - January 8th. Class will not be held on New Year's Day. For this group, the certification class will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST each day. You will receive $250 after you successfully certification and begin servicing. **Your Remote, Independent Contractor Status** As an independent contractor, you will have the freedom and flexibility to choose your own schedule, within the client's hours of operation. You'll enjoy significant savings in expenses related to transportation, clothing, childcare or eldercare, and food.
