Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling air travel to the public, providing assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance, and interpreting authority guidelines and requirements for domestic and international travel or shipment shipments. You will also be required to meet and dispatch planes within set times, provide help to troubled passengers and clients, and protect company properties and revenue. Key Responsibilities Promote and sell air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders Provide assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance Interpret authority guidelines and requirements for domestic and international travel or shipment shipments Meet and dispatch planes within set times Provide help to troubled passengers and clients Protect company properties and revenue Possess the physical capability and dexterity to apply motor skills to perform various job-related tasks Use organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time period Be self-motivated and require minimal supervision Respond and assist during safety and emergency situations Follow internal/external regulations and procedures May be required to drive and operate air stairs to enplane and deplane passengers Responsible for the overall performance within the work location and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employees May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control functions, including air-to-ground communication as well as Tower functions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED, be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language, and have applicable legitimate driver's license as required by local authorities. Bilingual language skills are required in some locations, and you must be able to satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identity display areas (SIDA), if applicable. You must also be able to obtain and maintain airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or a related field Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing situations.
