Job Overview In this role, you'll be an integral part of our Engineering Team, providing critical support to our Technical Operations Division. As a member of the A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team, you'll play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft. Key Responsibilities Keep informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the industry. Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that you're focused on the most critical tasks and projects. Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine appropriate corrective actions. Provide Engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components, working to restore serviceable status and minimize downtime. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, providing expert guidance and support. Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in aviation engineering, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, is required. You should also have relevant experience in aviation engineering, preferably in a similar role or industry. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, preferred qualifications include experience with project management, as well as knowledge of aircraft systems and regulations. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have experience with data analysis and reporting. A master's degree in a relevant field or a professional certification, such as a PE license, would be an asset.
