Job Overview The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with various business groups and cross-functional teams to design and develop data solutions that meet the organization's business and data science needs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data, producing insights and addressing reporting needs. Develop ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and create tools for real-time and offline analytical processing. Collaborate with the data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into digital processes. Utilize expertise in Cloud, Hadoop, and data modeling to optimize queries and build data pipelines. Apply strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Develop data warehouses and data models to support Data Science and other internal clients, integrating data from various sources and ensuring adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering. 5+ years of experience with SQL. 5+ years of experience with Python. Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, or Azure). Strong Communication, Problem-Solving, and Critical Thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark. Experience with Reporting (Tableau).
