As a Student Success Coach, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students throughout their educational program, helping them overcome challenges, and develop the skills necessary to become lifelong learners. About the Role The Student Success Coach position at arenaflex is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students. As a coach, you will be responsible for assisting students throughout their education program, providing guidance, support, and motivation to help them achieve their academic goals. You will work from the comfort of your own home office, with a set schedule during our hours of operation, which include Monday to Thursday from 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 5pm CDT. We welcome applicants from all time zones who have availability during our hours of operation and are passionate about supporting our students. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a high-quality learning experience for our students. Manage a group of assigned students and coach each through their degree program, using proactive and timely outreach to ensure their success. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance and teach students how to utilize resources to maximize their success, including becoming a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support. Act as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with academic support software and technology. Certification as a resume writer or career coach. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning needs.
