Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator to join our remote team on a long-term contract basis. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll be responsible for administering subcontracts, ensuring that subcontractors meet company and project requirements.If you have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering results, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Position OverviewThe Subcontract Administrator will be responsible for administering one or more standard subcontracts, ensuring that subcontractors fully meet company and project requirements. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including procurement, contract administration, and communication.The ideal candidate will have experience in the administration of subcontracts, a willingness to travel to subcontractor facilities when necessary, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities• Prepares recommended source lists of qualified subcontractors, drawing upon their past performance experience. • Prepares Request for Proposal form and verifies accuracy and completeness of proposal packages. Interfaces with affected groups to clarify and ensure that all necessary data has been included.• Receives subcontractors' responses to requests for proposals, determines each subcontractor's ability to meet company and project requirements, and negotiates the terms and conditions. • Prepares and issues contracts commensurate with delegated procurement authority. • Prepares subcontract documents and amendments, including identification and inclusion of flowdown requirements from the prime contract. • Ensures that terms and conditions will be appropriate. • Prepares reports and contractual correspondence for project management and client.• Maintains accurate tracking records tailored to the assigned subcontracts. • Maintains and updates subcontractors' files to include records of payment. • Performs subcontract closeout actions, completes file documentation, and forwards subcontract files to storage. • Ensures retention of hard copy of reports and claims for seven years. • Serves as liaison between subcontractor and procurement personnel. Education RequirementsWe're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and at least 3+ years of related work experience involving typical procurement activities, including subcontracting.If you have a strong educational background and relevant work experience, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Skills and CompetenciesThe ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of subcontracting activities typical to the engineering and construction industry, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with procurement.
