Healthcare Tech Startup Advisor – Clinical Workflow & Decision Support Platform

We are an early-stage digital health startup building a healthcare technology platform focused on improving clinical workflows and decision support. We are seeking an experienced healthcare tech startup advisor to guide us through validation, early strategy, and product direction. We are currently in the research and validation phase and want a knowledgeable advisor who understands the U.S. healthcare landscape, digital health startups, and clinical software environments. What we’re looking for Startup Advisor Responsibilities (Duties) • Review problem validation + market research outputs and turn them into clear product direction • Guide early product strategy: scope the MVP, prioritize features, and define what’s “Phase 1 vs later” • Advise on positioning and messaging for a clinical workflow / intelligence platform • Help refine target customer segments and early go-to-market plan (who to start with, why, and how) • Identify risks, blind spots, and assumptions that need validation before spending on build • Provide feedback on PRD/requirements so developer handoff is clean and avoids rework • Recommend lean validation steps (interviews, pilots, proof points) that don’t slow momentum • Serve as an on-call strategic sounding board as we move toward prototype/MVP build Advisor Requirements (Screening / Must-Haves) • Strong English communication (written + spoken) • Experience advising or building healthcare / digital health startups (early-stage) • Familiarity with clinical workflows and health IT / provider-side tech • Understanding of U.S. healthcare landscape (systems, stakeholders, incentives, basics of regs) • Product management or early-stage product strategy experience • Practical, actionable guidance (operator mindset not just theory) • Comfortable working async with clear deliverables and short working sessions as needed This role is advisory and as-needed, not a weekly retainer.
