Role DescriptionThis role involves supporting the Army Military Working Dog (MWD) Program under the Defense and Intelligence program at the Pentagon, Washington D.C. This is a 100% remote position. • Assist the Army Military Working Dog (MWD) Program Manager in developing MWD strategy, plans, policies, and standards. • Assist in developing policies and procedures for the MWD Program's missions, functions, activities, and processes.• Manage and recommend responses to requests for information regarding policies, DA pamphlets, and other documentation related to the MWD Program. • Mature and maintain a strategic MWD plan including goals, objectives, and tasks. • Mature existing MWD processes. • Define measures of effectiveness for the MWD Program and track metrics. • Engage with OPMG and Law Enforcement Division functional leads for effective communication and alignment. • Prepare stakeholder presentation materials including executive briefings.• Conduct community-wide briefings on behalf of the MWD Program Manager. • Maintain and update documentation specific to the MWD Program. • Research, coordinate, and implement collaboration tools for efficient mission performance. • Maintain the MWD Program’s presence in the bolthires Teams environment. • Identify opportunities for leveraging external tactics, techniques, and procedures. • Facilitate travel coordination for MWD Program Manager utilizing Defense Travel Services (DTS). • Compile and update monthly data and statistics reports related to the MWD Program.• Provide public relations support to MWD Program events requiring streaming to social media accounts. • Assist the MWD Program Manager with subject matter expertise on MWD employment. • Represent the MWD Program Manager in support of current initiatives. • Maintain the MWD Program’s management records. • Provide internal support with a working knowledge of SharePoint 2013. • Assist with modernization efforts and MWD Leadership and Training Symposiums. • Support the implementation, management, and training for MWD data collection and dissemination.• Provide analysis of MWD requirements in support of the planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle. • Assist in the synchronization of MWD Program efforts and force structure initiatives. • Update and maintain all MWD Program products connected to various Army standards. Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or additional years of work/military experience. • Five to seven years of Department of Defense Military Working Dog (DoD MWD) experience.• Experience at the grade of senior non-commissioned officer or above, GS-10 and above, or as a kennel master/DoD MWD program manager for 3 years or more. • Proven proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams. Requirements• Active DoD SECRET clearance or higher. Candidates without a minimum of a Secret clearance will not be considered.
