The Human Resources Business Partner, Level 1 focuses on building and sustaining partnerships with and understanding the needs of the assigned business units.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. • Partner with employees and management in the assigned client groups to provide guidance and counsel that drives business objectives;• Act as employee champion and assesses and anticipates HR-related needs;• Analyze data trends and metrics to drive informed talent management decisions;• Coordinate talent reviews and succession planning activities for the assigned business unit;• Manage and resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations;• Collaborate with seasoned HR staff to ensure past processes and practices are adhered to consistently;• Provide client managers and leaders with support and counsel for all aspects of the employee life cycle;• Form and nurture partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to assigned business units.• Gain valuable focused feedback by conducting stay and exit interviews and provide high-level theme action oriented information to customer managers;• Maintain sensitive documentation for employees and applicants in conjunction with other HR staff;• Partner with other HR staff members to cross train as necessary and build a cohesive team;• Participate in regular customer/client staff meetings and attends other departmental meetings as necessary;• Ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations; Review and keep informed about recent and changing employment related laws, guidelines and trends and recommends changes in policy/procedures; Ensures compliance with labor law postings, compliance logs, etc.including at remote office locations and for virtual workforce. SupervisoryResponsibilities:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required AND• Two (2) years of HR Generalist experience OR• Equivalent combination of education and experienceCertificates and Licenses: None required.
