This is currently a full-time, remote position, preferably based out of the Southeast United States. Starting salary is $85,000 with an opportunity to earn more in your first year in incentive compensation if you are amazing at what you do. You Might Be Our IP Champion If... (Education & Experience) • You have persistent curiosity about new technologies and legal strategies • You genuinely enjoy helping entrepreneurs protect their innovations • You possess exceptional drafting skills with an almost supernatural attention to detail • You’re comfortable with virtual collaboration and remote work • You’re efficient in managing your workload while maintaining quality • You have experience drafting patent and trademark applications and responding to office actions • You’re admitted to (and in good standing with) the Patent Bar and a State Bar • You have 2+ years experience in patent drafting and prosecution • You’re familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite including Visio Bonus points if: • You’re familiar with international patent law • You have a computer science background (but if you have an abundance of the other characteristics, please still apply!) Your Daily Adventures Will Include (Key Responsibilities) • Draft patent and trademark applications that truly embody clients’ innovations and branding • Extract meaningful and in-depth disclosures through client collaboration • Craft strategic responses to office actions that result in allowances • Juggle multiple matters while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines • Participate in team meetings that balance productivity with genuine connection • Develop case strategies and provide leadership to team members • Communicate proactively with clients and colleagues The Interview Process (Not for the Faint of Heart) We won’t lie—this position isn’t for everyone, and our interview process reflects that.
