Assistant Planning Manager ID-1549 – Amazon Store

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join its busy Planning Development Team. Working at a senior level within the Planning Development Team, you will play a key role in delivering an effective service across all aspects of planning development. You will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for planning, capable of working under challenging timescales. Reporting to the Planning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a number of small teams, supporting team members in terms of their direction, performance and development. You will need to demonstrate experience in all aspects of Planning Development including experience of managing and giving direction on complex applications, appeals experience and attendance at committee. You will need to be extremely organised, able to take responsibility for your own work and at the same time contribute to the overall team performance. Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are essential along with expert working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and guidance. Based at the Civic Offices in Basingstoke, near to the Top of Town, you would report directly to the Planning and Development Manager.
