The estate consists predominantly of Fire Stations, 56 to be exact. But we also operate and maintain several other non-operational buildings. The Property Services team is responsible for managing the estate. We’re an in-house professional team, skilled in all aspects of Facilities Management. As part of the Cleaning Team, you will be responsible for undertaking cleaning tasks ensuring that your designated sites are cleaned to a hygienic condition, to agreed cleaning specifications. You will be providing efficient and effective cleaning services ensuring health and safety regulations are met, and performing tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of kitchens and washrooms. Use all cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers printed instructions and COSHH regulations Take own initiative to carry out cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards Checking stock levels on site and updating the Cleaning Team Leader when items need reordering. What you’ll bring Excellent organisation and housekeeping skills Knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses Working knowledge of relevant health and safety standards Good interpersonal and customer service skills Organised with excellent time management skills Able to work with minimal supervision Working knowledge of the English language Full driving licence (for mobile operatives only) Good level of physical fitness and ability to stand for shift durations Proven working experience in a cleaning role.
