Billing/Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant - Junior level

Responsibilities: - Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner. - Manage and track accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments. - Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues. - Maintain detailed and organized records of billing transactions and customer communications. - Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, and implement effective collection strategies. - Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing and resolve customer inquiries. - Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and monthly summaries. - Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting related to billing and accounts receivable. - Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations. - Support the finance team with special projects and other duties as assigned. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable - Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc) is preferred. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
