Business Data Analyst Only on W2 Must have: Microsoft Azure Data tools or Snowflake Technologies This role supports data development and maintenance efforts of the Data & Analytics activities and initiatives in alignment with the Enterprise Data strategy, policies, and organizational goals. Duties and Responsibilities • Reviews, analyzes, and creates detailed documentation of business rules and data needs. • Coordinates discussions with business/stakeholders and cross functional/technical teams to capture and review use cases, requirements, and another technical document. Ensure all business requirements are accurately reflected and accounted for (including data lineage and transformations) • Collaborates with developers and architects to define and document the data solution to meet needs outlined in the business rules and needs. • Responsible for ensuring business/stakeholder approval, which passes audit scrutiny, for data solutions delivered in a production state. • Documents data ingestion, transformation, and consumption including workflows, data models, data classification, and steps required to curate trusted data. • Responsible for ensuring all documentation reflects the current state and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect proper state of data. • Support the cloud data framework that aligns with the Enterprise Data Strategy, policies, and organizational goals. • Ensures that the delivered data and processes fulfill the documented business rules and data needs. • Ensure that all items follow company change management process. • Participate in scrum, backlog grooming, refinement, planning and review sessions. • Presents documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data models. • Champions department standards for documentation and ensures that all assigned projects meet compliance and can withstand audit scrutiny. • Peer Reviews documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data models. • Create data models based on the data solution decisions and conceptual models in collaboration with the data architect and developer. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Demonstrated Data Query Skills • Competent in Microsoft Azure Data tools or Snowflake Technologies. • Background and experience in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Transformation and Data Reporting. • Experience problem solving and root cause analysis. • Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines • Competent in Agile and Scrum processes • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Prior knowledge of, or willingness to learn, healthcare and analytics industries.
