About the position The Controller for Nonprofit Organizations at Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a pivotal role responsible for providing outsourced accounting services to multiple nonprofit clients. This position combines accounting expertise with a passion for supporting nonprofit missions, ensuring effective financial management and reporting. The Controller will work in a hybrid environment, engaging with clients both virtually and on-site, and will play a key role in transforming client financial departments to enhance their operational effectiveness. Responsibilities Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. , Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission. , Prepare financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations. , Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures. , Handle transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. , Conduct analysis and data visualization, budgeting, and forecasting. , Manage grant management, allocations, and funder reporting. , Prepare for and manage annual audits. , Provide client and staff training opportunities. Requirements Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. , 5-7 plus years accounting experience. , Experience working in a remote environment preferred. , Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis. , Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills. , Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems. , Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required. , CPA certification is a plus. , Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus.
