About the Role: 3rd Shift Custodian at Glenwood High School We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift Custodian at Glenwood High School. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our students, teachers, and staff. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the school building, including classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas Perform routine custodial tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash and recyclables Ensure the school is secure and safe by locking doors, setting alarms, and reporting any maintenance or security issues Collaborate with other custodial staff to achieve cleaning and maintenance goals Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff Provide exceptional customer service and respond to requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous custodial experience preferred, but not required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and equipment Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule, 10PM - 6AM Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a school or educational setting Certification in custodial services or a related field Knowledge of cleaning protocols and procedures Experience with custodial equipment and supplies Skills and Competencies: Attention to detail: ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization Time management: ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Communication: ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with other custodial staff Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Ball-Chatham Community Schools, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our staff.
