Ehlert Bryan Structural Engineering Consulting is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their fast-growing Repair and Renovation Division. This role involves investigation, design, inspection, analysis, and detailing for a variety of structural repair and rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities - Investigation, design, inspection, analysis, and detailing for a variety of structural repair and rehabilitation projects - Perform field investigations, inspections, and travel to job sites throughout the U.S - Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs of equipment - Must have access to a vehicle, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to travel to various offices and project sites within the Metro DC area - Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders and access equipment including aerial lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding, while adhering to established safety protocols - Ability to work in challenging indoor and outdoor conditions when needed Skills - BS degree with emphasis on structural design - 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering - Working knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design - Strong analysis skills and computer modeling experience (RAM products, CSI products, etc.) - Good organizational and communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Eagerness to learn and desire to grow in your career - Ability to perform field investigations, inspections, and travel to job sites throughout the U.S - Candidates must be able to perform physical duties to carry out the job requirements, including (but not limited to): Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs of equipment - Must have access to a vehicle, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to travel to various offices and project sites within the Metro DC area - Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders and access equipment including aerial lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding, while adhering to established safety protocols - Ability to work in challenging indoor and outdoor conditions when needed - MS degree a plus Benefits - 401(k) match - Profit sharing - Productivity bonuses - Health Insurance, 100% company paid for employees and heavily subsidized for dependents - Additional Vision/Dental/Life/Disability Insurance offered Company Overview - Ehlert Bryan Consulting Structural Engineers opened our doors in 1981 on the belief that structural engineers are integral and creative parts of the entire building process.
