Key Responsibilities Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students, utilizing a range of digital tools and platforms to promote student engagement and motivation Demonstrate a commitment to personalizing learning for all students, using data-driven instruction to inform teaching practices and drive student outcomes Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery, using a range of strategies and techniques to support students with diverse learning needs Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, including grade books and student assessments, to ensure student academic integrity and inform instruction Communicate regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches, providing timely feedback and support to ensure students are meeting their learning goals Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment tools, to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience Participate in professional development opportunities, including training and coaching, to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in online education Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field Active state teaching license in Missouri, or ability to obtain a Missouri teaching license Ability to clear required background check(s) Endorsement in Elementary Education Residency in Missouri, or willingness to relocate to Missouri (will consider residents of Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas) Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and staff to achieve common goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a virtual environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other digital tools and platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience working with elementary-aged students, either in a traditional or online setting Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology, including online learning platforms and digital tools Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment Experience with online learning platforms, including learning management systems and other digital tools Strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques, with ability to apply these principles in an online environment Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of elementary education principles, practices, and procedures Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective online lessons, using a range of digital tools and platforms Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a virtual environment Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including changes in technology, curriculum, and instructional strategies Career Growth Opportunities At Missouri Digital Academy (MODA), we are committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our employees.
