About My Gym Children's Fitness Center My Gym is a unique and exciting place where children can explore their creativity, develop their physical skills, and build confidence in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our programs are designed to be fun and engaging, with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and a love of physical activity from a young age. As a Lead Teacher at My Gym, you'll be an integral part of our team, working with children and their parents to create a positive and enjoyable experience that will keep them coming back for more. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Instruction: Lead classes for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and grade school kids, teaching a range of physical education classes, including "Mommy and Me" sessions. Class Preparation: Plan and prepare engaging and fun classes that cater to the needs and abilities of our students. Student Interaction: Interact with children and their parents, providing a positive and supportive experience that promotes learning and development. Business Operations: As you progress in your role, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the business side of My Gym, including administration, sales, and marketing. Staff Meetings: Attend regular staff meetings, held every Monday afternoon from 1:00-4:00, to stay up-to-date on company news and developments. Weekend Availability: Be available to work one weekend day, as required. Essential Qualifications Relevant Experience: A background in sports, physical fitness, early childhood education, gymnastics, dance, theater, or music is highly desirable. Teaching Certification: Certification in a relevant field, such as early childhood education or physical education, is an asset. First Aid and CPR: Current first aid and CPR certification is required. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications Lead Teaching Experience: Previous experience as a lead teacher or instructor in a similar environment. Business Acumen: Basic knowledge of business operations, including administration, sales, and marketing. Creativity and Flexibility: The ability to think creatively and be flexible in a fast-paced environment. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, ranging from $13 to $16 per hour.
