Job Overview
We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Customer Service Representative to support healthcare providers who care for our members. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to providers through phone calls and concurrent chats, addressing their queries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the advocate for providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership to resolve issues and concerns.
- Provide multi-channel support to providers, including phone calls and concurrent chats, to address their needs and queries.
- Quickly and effectively triage contacts from healthcare professionals, identifying their needs and resolving issues related to benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, clinical authorizations, explanation of benefits, and behavioral health.
- Research and analyze complex prior authorization and claim issues, taking appropriate steps to resolve identified issues and prevent repeat calls, escalations, and provider dissatisfaction.
- Collaborate with multiple internal partners to ensure issues are resolved and thoroughly communicated to providers in a timely manner.
- Utilize strong multitasking skills to navigate over 30 systems, extracting necessary information to resolve and avoid issues across multiple lines of business, provider types, and call types.
- Influence providers to utilize self-service digital tools, assisting with navigation questions and promoting the benefits of these tools for faster resolution.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and solving customer concerns.
- Proficiency in computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Typing speed of 35-40+ WPM with an accuracy of 90%.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week), with flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST, Monday - Friday, and occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related environment, such as an office, call center, or customer service setting, using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of healthcare terminology.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Reside within the state of Tennessee.
- Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of company-sensitive documents.
- Dedicated work area established, separated from other living areas, and providing information privacy.
- High-speed internet connection or existing high-speed internet service.
