Key Responsibilities
As an Employee Relations Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing tactical and strategic support to assigned people managers within the DashMart organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Guiding leaders through performance improvement, conduct concerns, and interpersonal conflicts
- Investigating workplace concerns raised by all levels of employees within the DashMart organization
- Providing guidance and recommendations to people managers on various subjects, including performance management, involuntary terminations, conflict resolution, policy and procedure interpretation, and alignment with applicable law
- Reviewing employee concerns and identifying any policy violations where necessary
- Providing exceptional support to both salary and hourly populations through managing assigned ER casework from start to finish
- Maintaining detailed and accurate accounts of ER cases with timely memorialization of notes and supporting documents into the case management system
- Ensuring the application of company policies and procedures in a consistent and equitable manner
- Approaching decisions proactively, making effective and pragmatic choices, balancing benefit and risk, and maintaining compliance
- Collaborating with other business partners (HRBPs, Legal, etc.) as needed on case matters
- Identifying opportunities for process and policy improvement and being responsible for making those recommendations and aligning appropriate stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BS/BA degree preferred or relevant on-the-job experience, with at least 3 years' relevant employee relations experience, ideally focused on employee relations, employment law, or HRBP/People Partner experiences
- Experience supporting an hourly population
- Outstanding interpersonal skills exemplified by great communication (written and oral) and a high EQ
- A phenomenal team player who knows how and when to collaborate to ensure success, and comfortable liaising with multiple levels of leadership, Legal, HRBPs, and other stakeholders to get things done
- Experience working with HR Information Systems (Workday, Service Now, etc.) and case management software (HR Acuity)
- You are a problem solver, with a strong bias for action that knows how to ask the right questions when you're unsure
- Flexible, organized, and able to easily shift priorities
- "Customer service" minded professional
- Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
- Well-versed in federal employment law and able to look up relevant state legislation as needed
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., law, HR, business)
- Certification in employee relations, employment law, or a related field (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on innovation and growth
- Knowledge of logistics and technology industries
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
