Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum that aligns with District educational goals and State standards. Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that ensures the emotional and physical safety of students. Assess student needs and develop daily lesson plans that cater to diverse learning requirements. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment. Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs. Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and school activities. Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support students with special needs. Order classroom supplies and instructional materials as needed. Participate in instructional teams to promote learning activities consistent with District objectives. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be considered for this role, you must possess: A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field. A valid Arizona Secondary 6-12 Teaching Certificate with an approved area in English. A valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Knowledge of State and Federal activities standards. Understanding of developmental levels of school-age children. Familiarity with District and Department policies and procedures. Skill in applying various teaching techniques and classroom management methods. Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Preferred qualifications include experience in curriculum development, teaching English to diverse student populations, and the use of innovative instructional techniques.
