Job Expectations and Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Ensuring a neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with blithequark's image standards.
- Supporting and following established safety, security, quality guidelines, and company policies.
- Preserving the safety of self, fellow employees, and others in the work location.
- Ensuring food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
- Following federal law and company standards on carding customers for age-restricted products.
- Working professionally with vendors and contractors.
- Maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
Essential Functions
To excel in this role, you'll need to:
- Provide exceptional guest service, greeting and thanking customers while making eye contact.
- Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely.
- Maintain cash drawer management and perform cashier reconciliation.
- Perform consistent station cleaning and ensure facilities are well-maintained.
- Prepare food and hot beverage products, effectively managing foodservice and beverages.
- Promote store specials and marketing programs.
- Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy and distribute goods throughout the store.
- Observe local law requirements for fuel tank activations and fill-ups.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll need:
- Availability to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Required up-to-date food handling certificates, as needed.
- Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role involves:
- Standing and walking for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces.
- Bending, lifting, pushing, and moving products using proper techniques.
- Working safely with equipment that can create high temperatures.
- Periodic exposure to outdoor conditions and moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness standards.
