Job Summary
As a Customer Service Agent with blithequark, you'll play a vital role in providing outstanding passenger experiences, handling customer concerns, and ensuring smooth flight operations. Key Responsibilities
- Check-in passengers and their luggage at the ticket counter and gates, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
- Patiently handle customer concerns and complaints regarding ticketing and baggage handling, providing solutions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Knowledgeably answer inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares, and other questions as they arise, providing accurate and up-to-date information.
- Make announcements at the gate or over the general PA system regarding flight activity, ensuring that passengers are informed and up-to-date.
- Be responsible for all flight movement messages between the gate, ground handling team, flight crew, and airport vendors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, team members, and station leadership.
- Possess proficient computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (only required for some airports).
- Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, airline operations, or a related field.
- Fluency in multiple languages (optional).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis.
- Stand, lift, bend, push, and pull on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
- Work around jet and machinery noises.
