Position Summary We are looking for a highly qualified and enthusiastic K-8th Grade Teacher to facilitate learning and drive academic excellence at Pasadena Classical Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes classical education principles. This role requires a deep understanding of classical teaching methods, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver effective lesson plans that align with classical education standards and curriculum requirements Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs and abilities Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, address concerns, and provide updates Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and community events to stay current on best practices and industry trends Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and projects Sponsor student organizations, clubs, or activities that promote academic excellence, character development, and community engagement Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: Texas State Teacher's Certification as Elementary Generalist or Elementary Self-Contained Teacher Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in a classical school or using classical traditional methods Familiarity with classical education principles and curriculum Strong knowledge of instructional academic content and teaching methodologies Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and competencies: Passion for teaching and learning Strong knowledge of classical education principles and curriculum Ability to model virtue and teach virtue through the curriculum Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At ResponsiveEd, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our educators.
