We are now seeking an experienced General Tutor for High School Students - All Subjects to join our dynamic team of educators. Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated tutor who can provide expert guidance and support to high school students in all subjects, including but not limited to math, science, language arts, reading, writing, foreign languages, and test preparation. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher with a solid understanding of the education field and a passion for inspiring students to excel beyond expectations. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students in all subjects, creating personalized lesson plans to meet each student's unique needs and learning style Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed Prepare session reports for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session, providing detailed feedback on student progress and areas for improvement Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and satisfied Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that we can continue to provide support and guidance to our students Service only those students whose needs align with your areas of expertise, ensuring that you can provide the highest quality support and guidance Essential Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry, with a strong background in tutoring and/or teaching Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields, such as math, science, or language arts Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly preferred, but not required Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills, including typing, PC, and recording skills Reliable transportation with current car insurance is required, as well as access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone Preferred Qualifications Specialized training in areas such as Reading Intervention, Math Intervention, and LD Strategies Experience with test preparation, including ACT/SAT, ISEE, and graduate entrance exams Knowledge of foreign languages, including Spanish, French, German, and Latin Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues Excellent lesson planning and delivery skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple students and responsibilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to our company's mission and values Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Tutoring of Nashville, we are committed to the growth and development of our tutors.
