Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As a High School Foreign Language Teacher at Tradition Preparatory High School, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a flexible program and classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and personal growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that adhere to our company's philosophy, goals, and objectives
- Establishing effective rapport with students, staff members, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Motivating students to develop their language skills and cultural knowledge, and providing individualized support to students with varying abilities and needs
- Utilizing a range of teaching strategies and techniques to maximize student learning and engagement
- Assessing student progress and performance, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve
- Maintaining accurate and complete student records, and communicating with parents and guardians as needed
- Participating in curriculum planning and development, and staying up-to-date with best practices in language education
- Creating a classroom environment that is clean, safe, and inclusive, and that promotes student-generated work and cultural awareness
- Implementing relevant policies and procedures to maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
- Participating in extracurricular activities and events to support student learning and school culture
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Foreign Language Education or Linguistics
- A valid teaching certification, or the ability to obtain one
- A minimum of 1-3 years of successful teaching experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of language teaching methodologies and theories, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information System (SIS)
- A commitment to our company values and mission, and a passion for delivering high-quality education
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience teaching foreign languages to high school students
- Knowledge of curriculum design and development

- A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Foreign Language Education or Linguistics
